It's a tan distressed leather, which is a firm, more substantial leather that has unique coloring and can vary from one pair to the next. The upper part is a 6-7 ounce tan distressed leather with a canoe sole that provides more durability and results in a longer wear. This is because the moccasin has a double sole made of 7-9 ounce flexible cow hide. If you desire an even heavier sole select 'request custom order' stating your request for bull hide which will be an additional $28.00. With this stylish moccasin many love them because of their comfort and they are able to wear them during various activities, including to work or shopping. Second one completely around the widest part of your foot (see last photo).
