The quiet-type diaphragm in the flush valve makes for a softer sounding flush that is less disruptive in noise sensitive settings. A battery powered sensor uses infrared technology to detect motion, which triggers the diaphragm for hands-free flushing. It is powered by 4 "AA" batteries, and boasts 10 years of battery life. The piston operated diaphragm is resistant to clogs, and subsequent potential leaking. In addition, the no-leak seal technology helps cut down on service calls as well as maintenance costs. The low consumption valve requires only 1 gallon of water per flush. All gaskets are chemical resistant and will not break down due to the use of harsh cleaning agents. The ADA-compliant handle includes a high back pressure vacuum breaker, and the control stop has internal siphon-guard protection to stop possible back flow. A one-piece hex coupling nut and spud coupling make for easy servicing, while an adjustable tailpiece makes installation easier. A vandal resistant stop cap will prevent any unwanted tampering.
